ClariVein

ClariVein® is a gentle method for treating varicose veins that, unlike laser treatment, does not use heat – significantly reducing the risk of pain or damage to the surrounding tissue.

How does the procedure work?

Bluish “spider veins” and bulging knots are not just an aesthetic concern – they often indicate an early or advanced stage of venous disease.
The ClariVein® OC (Occlusion Catheter) method uses a special catheter with a rotating wire that mechanically disrupts the inner lining of the vein (endothelium) while simultaneously applying a sclerosing agent into the vein. This causes the vein to close and gradually be absorbed by the body.

Unlike laser or radiofrequency treatments, ClariVein® does not use heat, which significantly reduces the risk of pain, burns, or nerve damage.

Regular walking is recommended immediately after the procedure, but sports and heavier physical activity should be avoided for at least 2 weeks.

You can usually return to work within 3–4 days.
If the procedure is performed under analgosedation, do not drive and arrange for someone to accompany you home.

The ClariVein® method is suitable for patients with medium to large varicose veins, especially when laser or radiofrequency treatment is not ideal (for example, due to nearby nerves). It is also recommended for those who prefer a comfortable and gentle option without anesthesia and with minimal pain.

Since the method does not use heat (unlike laser or radiofrequency), it is very gentle. Most patients describe the procedure as “slightly uncomfortable” rather than painful.

No, you do not need a referral for an examination or procedure with us. You can simply book an initial consultation directly – online or by phone. We provide care without the need for a referral, quickly and without waiting.

ClariVein is a gentle solution for varicose veins without anesthesia.

If you are considering a modern minimally invasive treatment, the first step is always an initial vascular examination. An experienced doctor will assess the condition of your veins and determine whether ClariVein is the most suitable method for you, or recommend another procedure such as EVLA, miniphlebectomy, or sclerotherapy. We will schedule your appointment quickly and without unnecessary waiting.
