I underwent laser surgery for varicose veins at this clinic and I can only praise the experience. Dr. Dvořáček is truly in his element. From reception to the medical team, everything was absolutely perfect. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff. I especially appreciated how quickly I was scheduled — from the initial consultation to the operation and the follow-up.
Varicose vein surgery EVLA
Endovenous laser ablation is the most advanced minimally invasive method used to gently eliminate the root cause of varicose veins in the lower limbs. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia, without the need for general anesthesia or time off work.

What is the EVLA method and how does the procedure work?
During the treatment, a thin laser fiber is inserted into the affected vein. Using a precisely targeted laser beam, the vein wall is heated and sealed from the inside, which immediately stops the backward flow of blood (reflux) and redirects blood into healthy veins.
As a result, the body naturally absorbs the non-functioning vein. The treatment does not involve any incisions or open wounds.
The EVLA procedure (Endovenous Laser Ablation) begins with an initial examination, during which a vascular specialist uses ultrasound to map the venous system in detail and determine whether this method is suitable for the patient.
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia, meaning there is no need for general anesthesia and the patient remains fully conscious throughout.
Under continuous ultrasound guidance, a thin laser fiber is inserted into the vein, and its position is carefully monitored. Then, laser energy is applied, which closes the diseased vein from within.
The entire procedure usually takes 60–90 minutes, and once completed, the patient can leave immediately and walk home without the need for hospitalization.
