Trichology
Trichology is a specialized field dedicated to the health of hair and scalp. If you are troubled by excessive hair loss, thinning, breakage, or other hair problems, a trichological examination at the Vasmedic clinic will reveal the cause and help you set up an effective treatment plan.
Trichology is a modern diagnostic and therapeutic field focused on the condition of hair and scalp. A trichologist specializes in examinations that use a dermatoscope and other methods to accurately determine the cause of problems such as:
- excessive hair loss (alopecia),
- thinning and weakening of hair,
- seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, itching or redness of the scalp,
- brittleness and poor hair quality.
How does the examination proceed?
- Medical history – interview with the patient about their problems, health status, and lifestyle.
- Dermatoscopic examination – high-resolution imaging of hair follicles.
- Special tests – samples, swabs, or laboratory tests as needed.
- Evaluation and recommendations – the doctor will propose an individual treatment plan.
Treatment options in trichology
At the Vasmedic clinic, we combine several methods to achieve the most effective results:
- scalp mesotherapy – nourishing the hair with vitamins, peptides, and hyaluronic acid,
- plasma therapy (PRP) – using the patient's own blood plasma, rich in growth factors,
- polynucleotides and biostimulation preparations – regeneration and activation of hair follicles,
- laser therapy (LLLT) – stimulation of hair growth using low-energy laser,
- pharmacological treatment – in indicated cases, supplementation with effective medications,
- home care and prevention – recommendations for cosmetics and dietary supplements.

How are active ingredients applied to the scalp?
- Consultation and Preparation
The treatment begins with a consultation with a doctor or trichologist, who assesses the condition of your scalp and recommends the most suitable preparation (e.g., a cocktail of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, polynucleotides, or PRP plasma). Before the procedure, the scalp is disinfected. - Numbing
The application is generally well tolerated, as very fine needles are used. For added comfort, a numbing spray can be applied. - Application to the Scalp
The active ingredients are administered through a series of tiny microinjections directly into the scalp — precisely in the area where the hair follicles are located. This allows the substances to act exactly where they’re needed and stimulate hair growth. - After the Procedure'
The entire treatment takes approximately 20–40 minutes. Immediately after the procedure, the scalp may be slightly red or sensitive, but you can return to normal activities right away. It is only recommended to avoid excessive sweating and washing your hair on the first day. - Results
Improvement in hair quality and reduction of hair loss are usually noticeable after a few weeks.
For best results, a series of 3–6 treatments at 2–4 week intervals is recommended, followed by maintenance sessions once or twice a year.
