The most common inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system:
- Tendinitis (inflammation of the tendons) - e.g. Achilles tendons, shoulder or wrist tendons
- Tendovaginitis (inflammation of the tendon sheath)
- Bursitis (inflammation of the bursa) - often in the knee, elbow or shoulder area
- Arthritis (inflammation of the joint) - acute or chronic form, including rheumatoid arthritis
- Enthesopathy - inflammation of the tendon attachments to the bone
