MUDr. Alena Hrubeš Krajčoviechová, PhD.

A top cardiologist with experience from IKEM, the Centre for Cardiovascular Prevention and a number of leading clinics. She has completed internships in Canada, Scotland, France and other countries. Her scientific work in the field of cardiology is also appreciated.

Alena Hrubeš Krajčoviechová studied at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno, and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague.

She completed academic internships and training programmes abroad, for example at the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Grenoble, Départment de Cardiochirurgie in Grenoble, France, Akademia Medyczna in Wroclaw, Cardiovascular Research Center in Glasgow, Scotland, Centre de Recherche du Centre Hospitalier de l'Université Montréal in Canada and many other prestigious places. 

She has been involved in a number of scientific projects, such as the Czech Post-MONICA Study Prevalence and incidence of risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, analysis of long-term trends in a randomly selected population sample of the Czech Republic - a project awarded the Minister of Health Award for Health Research and Development for 2010, ESH Stroke Survey Secondary prevention and prognosis of patients after stroke; a project awarded the Minister of Health Award for Health Research and Development for 2015.

She is an active member of the Czech Society of Cardiology, Czech Society for Hypertension and Czech Society for Atherosclerosis.
